Geraldine Johns-Putra is a lawyer and founder of Geraldine Grace, a legal practice in Melbourne, Australia.
She is a corporate and commercial lawyer with over 25 years of experience advising on corporate transactions, governance, sustainability, modern slavery, impact investment and fundraising.
She is proudly purpose-led with a mission to use the law to create more responsible, human-centred and environmentally conscious enterprises.

Geraldine is a long-time advocate for ethical purpose-led business practices. She recently served as Chief Legal & Data Officer of Coast 4C, an Earthshot Prize finalist and impact enterprise working in marine conservation and livelihood building in the Philippines.

Geraldine is a Deputy Chancellor of Monash University and chairs its Estates & ESG Committee. She chairs the registered charity Little Dreamers Australia and has served as a non-executive director of private and not-for-profit companies. She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Previously a partner at one of Australia's largest law firms, Geraldine has worked in premier law firms in Australia and overseas. She founded Geraldine Grace in 2020 to support responsible businesses, start-ups, charities and not-for-profit organisations.

Geraldine has worked extensively across Australia, Greater China and Southeast Asia. Born and raised in Malaysia, she is fluent in Malaysian and proficient in Indonesian and Mandarin.

Qualifications and admissions
Geraldine holds Law and Economics degrees from Monash University and a Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne. She is admitted to practise in the Australian states of Victoria and New South Wales, and Hong Kong and England & Wales.

Publications and presentations
Geraldine has contributed corporate and commercial law chapters to legal publications and wrote the Australian ESG and Impact Investing Guide for a leading online legal publisher. She has given keynote addresses and spoken at conferences and on panels in Australia, Hong Kong and Japan.
